Moto3 Sepang, Warm Up: Folger ahead of Rins, Antonelli is tenth

The Warm Up of the Moto3 class in Sepang (stage of the fourth to last race of the 2013 world championship) took place on a dry track after the rain returned during the night. All the riders took to the track on slicks, looking for the final adjustments before the race which will start at 7am Italian time.

Our Alessandro Tonucci did not take part in this session and will also miss the race, having suffered a compound fracture of his right wrist yesterday in practice. The Team La Fonte Tascaracing driver will return to Italy after the race.

The fastest was Jonas Folger, who stopped the clock at a time of 2:14.862. Behind him, trailing by just 40 thousandths, we find Alex Rins, who in turn precedes his team-mate Alex Marquez by 141 thousandths.

Maverick Vinales finished with the fourth fastest time ahead of Jack Miller, Efren Vazquez (slipped without physical consequences), Miguel Oliveira, Luis Salom, Phillip Oettl and our Niccolò Antonelli who closes the Top Ten. For him too a crash at the end of the session without consequences.

Romano Fenati instead closed this Warm Up with the fourteenth fastest time, immediately ahead of Francesco Bagnaia. The other Italian drivers are Matteo Ferrari 22nd and Lorenzo Baldassarri 27th. Thirtieth time for Ana Carrasco, the only representative of the fairer sex on the track, riding a Team Calvo KTM.
