Moto3 Phillip Island, Free Practice 3: Maverick Vinales is the fastest
The best of the Italian riders is Romano Fenati, sixteenth with the FTR Honda of San Carlo Team Italia
Maverick Vinales was the fastest in the third and final session of the Moto3 class at Phillip Island, where the third to last stage of the 4 world championship will take place tomorrow at 2013am Italian time.
The Team Calvo rider set a time of 1:36.650, ahead of German Jonas Folger's Kalex KTM by almost half a second. Third time for John McPhee, who preceded Miguel Oliveira's Mahindra and world championship leader Luis Salom's KTM, 880 thousandths off the top.
Followed by Isaas Vinales, the home rider Jack Miller, the Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 duo formed by Alex Marquez and Alex Rins and Alesix Masbou, who closes the Top Ten. The Italians are in difficulty. The best is Romano Fenati, sixteenth, while Niccolò Antonelli is nineteenth.
The others are Lorenzo Baldassarri twentieth, Matteo Ferrari twenty-fourth and Francesco Bagnaia twenty-eighth. Excellent performance by Ana Carrasco, the only representative of the fairer sex on the track, who achieved the thirteenth time just 1.182 from the top.
