Moto3 Phillip Island, Free Practice 2: Navarro at the top, Fenati and Antonelli good

Moto3 2015 Phillip Island Free Practice 2 – The second free practice session of the Moto3 class at Phillip Island saw the riders take to the track initially on damp asphalt. During the session the track dried out completely and the fastest on the track was Jorge Navarro.

The Honda rider lapped in 1:37.531, a time that was 0.167s better than that set by the South African Brad Binder, who was also 0.105s ahead of his team-mate Miguel Oliveira, the fastest in Free Practice 1.

Fourth and fifth times for our Romano Fenati (KTM Sky VR46) and Niccolò Antonelli (Honda Ongetta Rivacold), sixth for Philipp Oettl, seventh for Isaac Vinales and eighth for Juanfran Guevara. Closing out the Top Ten are the Belgian Livio Loi and our Francesco Bagnaia (Mahindra Team Aspar).

Enea Bastianini with the Team Gresini Honda is eleventh, while Lorenzo dalla Porta is twenty-second, immediately behind Maria Herrera and the debutant Joan Mir.

Of note are the crashes of Stefano Manzi (29th time) and Isaac Vinales, without any consequences for the riders.
