For Niccolò Antonelli this was a true home grand prix, a few kilometers from where he grew up, and the conditions for doing well were all there: a few weeks ago he had in fact participated as a wild card in the CIV, winning both heats, and yesterday in qualifying he managed to reach third position, and therefore the front row. But today, after an initial part of the race in which he managed to give his all, the usual feeling problems forced him to lose contact with the leaders. However, he does not lose faith in himself and in the team: he knows that they will do everything to allow him to express all his talent.

“I tried to give my best and in the first part of the race I succeeded. Then the usual problems with feeling when entering and exiting corners emerged which didn't allow me to push as I would have liked. I also took some risks and the gap from the leaders, although small, became unbridgeable. We have to work to try to resolve these problems which we think are partly attributable to the ballast that I am forced to use. I'm disappointed but not demoralized because I have faith that the Team will soon put me in a position to express my true potential."
