Moto3 Jerez, Free Practice 2: Vazquez ahead of Fenati and Oliveira
The Sky Racing Team by VR46 driver second by just 74 thousandths
Efren Vazquez set the best time in the second free practice session of the Moto2 class in Jerez de la Frontera, the first European event of the 2014 world championship.
The Honda centaur in fact stopped the clock at a time of 1:47.725, a time only 74 thousandths better than that set by our Romano Fenati, fresh winner of the Argentine Grand Prix.
The Team Sky VR46 rider then reiterated his excellent form, bringing his KTM ahead of the Mahindra of Portuguese Miguel Oliveira.
Fourth time for Jack Miller, world championship leader, who brings his Team Red Bull Ajo KTM ahead of the Hondas of Alex Marquez and Alex Rins. Enea Bastianini did well, eleventh on the KTM of Junior Team GO&FUN, while his team-mate Niccolò Antonelli was fourteenth and ahead of Alessandro Tonucci. First of the two we find Maria Herrera, riding the Honda and here winner in the CEV race.
It should be noted that this afternoon the time set this morning by Isaac Vinales (cousin of Maverick, current Moto2 rider and 2013 Moto3 world champion), who had lapped in 1:47.388.
