Moto3 | Gp Mugello FP2: Indomitable Martin, bad fall for Antonelli
Bezzecchi and Di Giannantonio are the only Italians in the top ten
Moto3 Italian GP Free Practice 2 – Jorge Martin also makes the second free practice session his own on the Mugello circuit, where the Italian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday.
The Spanish driver from the Gresini team stopped the clock at 1:57.155 ahead of his compatriot Aron Canet (Estrella Galicia) and Tatsuki Suzuki (Sic58 Squadra Corse).
Fourth time for Phillipp Oettl who finished ahead of Kaito Toba and the world championship leader, Marco Bezzecchi (PruestelGP)
Behind the KTM of the Rimini rider, Jakub Kornfeil, John McPhee and Fabio di Giannantonio. The Roman rider of Team Gresini led the standings for most of the session, giving up his attempt to "attack the time" towards the end. The winner of the Le Mans GP, Albert Arenas, completes the top ten.
Violent high-side for Niccolò Antonelli (Sic58 Squadra Corse) at Casanova-Savelli. The rider from Cattolica did not lose consciousness, but was taken to the medical center for tests which, fortunately, ruled out fractures. Before the crash he still managed to set the thirteenth fastest time.
After a good FP1, Nicolò Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46) closed the afternoon session in eighteenth position, ahead of Tony Arbolino (Marineli Snipers), 19th, and Andrea Migno, 21st.
Difficulties for the two Leopard standard bearers, with Enea Bastianini only 22nd and Lorenzo dalla Porta, 26th.
