Moto3 | GP Jerez Race: Vietti, “We are doing an excellent job”

Fantastic performance for the rookie of the lightweight category, Celestino Vietti who concluded the Jerez Grand Prix in third place, after a very hard-fought race. The other standard bearer of the Sky Racing Team VR46, Dennis Foggia, was unlucky as he was unable to do better than the sixteenth time after receiving a penalty for exceeding the track limits.

Celestine Vietti: “I'm happy: a beautiful race with lots of overtaking! I started well, I tried to push in the first laps and take a bit of an advantage. Then halfway through the race I struggled with the rear tire, but I held on and moved up the rankings. When I saw Ramirez fall in front of me I was scared, but I tried to avoid his bike and stay focused. The last lap I tried, I was second, but Suzuki fooled me! It doesn't matter, a great result for me and the whole team. We're doing a great job.".

Dennis Foggia: “It's not the result I expected: I started strong, I was in the leading group and I could have done well in the final. Unfortunately, some contact in the brawl made things more difficult than expected and the penalty compromised the good things I had done up to that point."
