Moto3 | GP Assen Day 1: The highlights of the first day of free practice [VIDEO]

Moto3 Dutch GP Day 1 highlights – The first day of free practice at the Moto3 class Dutch Grand Prix, eighth stage of the 2018 MotoGP, ended in the name of Aron Canet, who 'printed' the best time of the day in the early afternoon.

In the combined ranking, we find Jorge Martin in second place, thanks to the time recorded during FP1. Big scare for the Spaniard from the Gresini team, who was the victim of a violent high-side in the second free practice session. The driver born in '98 was taken away from the track on a stretcher, although he never lost consciousness, fractures were feared. Fortunately, however, the tests carried out at the mobile clinic have ruled out serious injuries and he will be on the track as usual tomorrow.

Fourth time for an excellent Gabriel Rodrigo, followed by John McPhee and the first of the Italians, Nicolò Bulega. The Sky Racing Team driver, after a good race in Barcelona which ended in the gravel due to a contact, seems to have finally returned to being competitive. Seventh time for the world championship leader, Marco Bezzecchi. A little more was expected from the Rimini driver today, but we will certainly see his true potential tomorrow during qualifying.

Jakub Kornfeil precedes Kaito Toba and, together with Fabio di Giannantonio of the Gresini Racing team, complete the top ten.
