Moto3 Barcelona: Excellent start for Niccolò Antonelli and Enea Bastianini

Good start in Montmelò for the GO&FUN Moto3 Junior Team riders. Niccolò Antonelli and Enea Bastianini in fact closed day 1 with the fifth and seventh fastest times. In the afternoon, the rider from Cattolica managed to lower his time by over a second, while his team-mate performed well on his debut on this track. The word is up to them.

“I'm happy with this first day of testing, also because we need a bit of positivity after the recent disappointments – said Niccolò Antonelli – Already at Mugello I was very comfortable with the bike and today I found the same situation again: I feel good and I want to continue like this tomorrow too. Our rivals will certainly make progress, but we will try to keep up with them; for this reason we are already planning some changes to refine the set-up and improve. In general, however, we are satisfied with how the weekend started.”

“Today I faced this track for the first time and to be honest I don't consider it one of my favorites – added Enea Bastianini – but you have to like all the circuits! The work we did today was fruitful: this morning we had some small problems which however we managed to resolve quickly in the afternoon, consequently in the final part of the second session I managed to do two or three very good laps, especially the last . We are already in the right direction, but we can still improve, also regarding the interpretation of the track.”
