Moto3 Assen, Free Practice 2: Luis Salom ahead of Maverick Vinales
The best of the Italians is Niccolò Antonelli, fourteenth with the FTR Honda of Team Gresini
The second free practice session of the Moto3 class in Assen (stage of the seventh stage of the 2013 world championship) went to Luis Salom, KTM rider and world championship leader. The Spaniard of Team Red Bull Ajo in fact stopped the clock at a time of 1:43.511, before the rain arrived five minutes from the end to "stop" the session.
Second time for Maverick Vinales, who was the fastest this morning. The Spanish rider from Team Calvo, who is more than half a second behind his compatriot, precedes the German Jonas Folger (Kalex KTM), the two Spaniards from Team Estrella Galicia 0,0 Alex Rins and Alex Marquez and the Frenchman Alexis Masbou.
Seventh is Isaac Vinales, riding the FTR Honda of Team Ongetta-Centro Seta. Followed by the Frenchman Alan Techer on TSR Honda, the Australian Arthur Sissis (Red Bull KTM Ajo) and the Australian Jack Miller, riding the FTR Honda of Team Caretta Technology – RTG.
The best of the Italians is Niccolò Antonelli on the FTR Honda of Team Gresini, fourteenth and ahead of his team-mate Lorenzo Baldassarri. Further back Romano Fenati, twenty-third with the FTR Honda of San Carlo Team Italia, preceded by Alessandro Tonucci (Team La Fonte Tascaracing). The other Italians are Matteo Ferrari twenty-eighth and Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia thirty-second.
