Moto3: Antonelli at Mugello to reverse the trend, Bastianini to confirm himself among the Bigs

Niccolò Antonelli (in the photo) and Enea Bastianini (Gresini Racing riders) arrive at the Mugello event with different moods. The former has just returned from yet another crash (Le Mans) and is therefore going through a very difficult period, while the rookie, after seventh place in the French Grand Prix, will try to stay with the leaders also in his home Grand Prix, which will be held in a track known to him. The word is up to them.

“I'm going through a difficult period, so I believe that at this moment the right thing to do is to remain calm and face each Grand Prix without setting objectives: even at Mugello, therefore, I don't want to ask anything of myself, other than to stay as calm as possible – said Niccolò Antonelli – At the moment all the top 12 riders in the championship are going very fast and have very similar performances: it would be nice to be able to stay with them for the whole race, after which everything that comes will be more . I like Mugello very much and it has always given me a lot of satisfaction, ever since I started racing: in fact, it is here that I achieved my first podium in the Italian Championship. I am therefore very happy every time I return and I hope to collect another beautiful memory this year."

“It would be fantastic to be able to stay with the fastest riders in the championship, as happened in Le Mans, also in Mugello – added Enea Bastianini – I already know the track quite well, having competed there in 2012 with the 125cc, and also last year in the part of the Italian Moto3 Championship. It's a very wide track, so I'll have to try to set the lines well straight away, then we'll see how it goes.”
