Moto3 | Portuguese GP Qualifying: pole for Rueda, Rossi is fifth

Moto3 GP Portugal Qualifying – Josè Antonio Rueda took pole position in the Moto3 class Portuguese Grand Prix, the second round of the 2024 MotoGP world championship.

The Team KTM Red Bull Ajo rider made the difference at T4, where on the "good" lap he gained three tenths over his closest rivals, Joel Kelso on the KTM of Team BOE Motorsports, finishing with a margin of 59 thousandths. Also on the front row is the winner of Qatar David Alonso on Team Aspar's CFMoto.

Daniel Holgado with the GASGAS of Team Tech3 will open the second row, where we also find our Riccardo Rossi (KTM CIP Green Power) and Collin Veijer (Husqvarna Intact GP).

Seventh time and third row for Ivan Ortolà (KTM MT Helmets – MSI), for our Filippo Farioli (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Scott Ogden (Honda Mlav Racing).

Stefano Nepa on Team MTA's KTM finished tenth, Matteo Bertelle (Honda Snipers) 12th, Nicola Carraro (KTM MTA) 16th. Last position for Luca Lunetta (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse) who completed half a lap in Q1.
