Moto3 | GP Assen FP3: Nepa in the lead, Rossi is fifth, bad fall for Farioli

Moto3 Dutch GP Assen Free Practice 3 – The third free practice session of the Moto3 class Dutch Grand Prix, eighth event of the 2023 MotoGP World Championship, saw Stefano Nepa excel.

The Team MTA rider took his KTM to the top with a time of 1:41.713, putting the RC250 GP ahead of Josè Antonio Rueda's Team Red Bull Ajo twin.

Third and fourth times for the Honda of Jaume Masia and the CFMoto of Joel Kelso, who precede our Riccardo Rossi on the Honda of Team SIC58 Squadra Corse, Scott Ogden on the Honda of Team VisionTrack and David Alonso on GASGAS of Team Aspar.

Closing out the Top Ten are Ayumu Sasaki on Husqvarna of Team Intact GP, David Munoz on KTM of Team BOE and our Matteo Bertelle on Honda of Team Snipers. Andrea Migno on the KTM of Team CIP is 11th, ahead of team-mate David Salvador and Colin Veijer (Husqvarna Team Intact GP).

Together with these riders, Romano Fenati also enters directly into Q2, with the time recorded on Day 1. Surprisingly, many big names are out and will therefore have to go through Q1, including the leader of the world championship Daniel Holgado, then Deniz Oncu, Diogo Moreira and Ivan Ortola.

Of note is the bad fall of Filippo Farioli, who, after a contact with Adrian Fernandez at turn 6, was taken on a stretcher to the medical centre.

After a check-up at the medical center, Filippo Farioli left on his own two feet. No problem for the #7 of Team KTM Red Bull Tech 3 who will participate in Q1.
