Moto3 | Japanese GP FP1: Moreira ahead of Foggia
Top Ten for Riccardo Rossi and Andrea Migno
Moto3 Motegi Free Practice 1 – Rookie Diogo Moreira recorded the best time in the first free practice session of the Japanese Grand Prix, 16th stage of the 2022 MotoGP, scheduled for Sunday in Motegi.
The MT Helmets – MSI Team rider took his KTM to the top with a time of 1:57.252, a time that allowed him to precede our Dennis Foggia (Honda Leopard) by 0.195s.
Home rider Ayumu Sasaki, riding the Husqvarna of the Max Racing Team, finished third, ahead of the KTM of Team BOE of rookie David Munoz and team-mate John McPhee.
Tatsuki Suzuki riding the second Honda of Team Leopard is sixth, ahead of the leader Izan Guevara (GasGas Aspar), the Hondas of our Riccardo Rossi (SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Andrea Migno (Snipers) and Ryusei Yamanaka (MT Helmets -MSI ) which closes the Top Ten.
Also in provisional Q2 are Deniz Oncu (KTM Tech 3), Kaito Toba (KTM CIP), Adrian Fernandez (KTM Tech 3) and Jaume Masia (KTM Red Bull Ajo).
Stefano Nepa (KTM MTA) finished 18th (preceded by the GasGas of Sergio Garcia's Team Aspar), Elia Bartolini (KTM Avintia) 25th and Nicola Fabio Carraro (KTM Avintia) 30th.
