Moto3 | GP Assen FP1: Munoz fastest in the rain, Surra fifth
The 16 year old from Team BOE put Deniz Oncu and John McPhee behind him
Moto3 Dutch GP Free Practice 1 – The first free practice session of the Moto3 class Dutch Grand Prix (11th stage of the 2022 MotoGP world championship, ed.) was characterized by rain.
On the historic Assen circuit the riders took to the track with rain tires and the fastest was David Munoz, who stopped the clock on the KTM at a time of 1:52.406.
The 16-year-old from Team BOE, who made his debut at Mugello, preceded his teammate Deniz Oncu (Team Tech 3) and John McPhee (Husqvarna Max Racing Team), 0.283s and 0.369s behind respectively.
Fourth, fifth and sixth times for the Hondas were Tatsuki Suzuki (Leopard), Alberto Surra (Snipers) and Scott Ogden (VisionTrack Racing Team).
Closing out the Top Ten are Sachsenring winner Izan Guevara (GasGas Aspar), his team-mate and world championship leader Sergio Garcia, Jaume Masia (KTM Red Bull Ajo), Lorenzo Fellon (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse) and our Andrea Migno (Honda Snipers).
The other Italians are: Riccardo Rossi (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse) 11th, Dennis Foggia (Honda Leopard) 18th and Stefano Nepa (KTM MTA) 21st.
The two riders of the KTM Avintia Team, Elia Bartolini and Luca Lunetta (who replaces the injured Matteo Bertelle, involved in the Ogden crash at Sachsenring and who suffered a cruciate rupture in his left knee, ed.) are over 105% and at off the charts moment.
