Moto3 | Qatar GP 2 FP1: Masia precedes Foggia
Ninth time for Romano Fenati, the other Italians further back
Moto3 GP Qatar 2 Free Practice 1 – Jaume Masia, winner of the Qatar Grand Prix held last Sunday, won the best time in the first free practice session of the Moto3 class Doha Grand Prix, the second round of the 2021 MotoGP championship also scheduled at the Losail International Circuit.
The Team Red Bull Ajo rider set the best lap with a time of 2:05.360, a time that allowed him to beat our Dennis Foggia, riding the Team Leopard Honda, by more than half a second.
Third time for Filip Salac (Honda Snipers), who preceded his team mates John Mcphee (Petronas), Andi Izdihar (Team Asia), Yuki Kunii (Team Asia) and Xavier Artigas (Leopard).
Closing out the Top Ten are Kaito Toba on the KTM of Team CIP Green Power, Romano Fenati (Husqvarna Max Racing Team) and Izan Guevara (Gas Gas Aspar).
The other Italians are: Riccardo Rossi (KTM BOE) 12th, Andrea Migno (Honda Snipers) 18th, Stefano Nepa (KTM BOE) 19th and Niccolò Antonelli (KTM Reale Avintia) 26th.
