Moto3 | Austrian GP FP1: Kornfeil in the lead, the Italians do well
Four Italians in the Top Ten of the Moto1 FP3 in Spielberg
Moto3 GP Austria Red Bull Ring Free Practice 1 – The riders of the Moto3 class opened the racing weekend as usual, this time at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, theater of the Austrian Grand Prix, eleventh stage of the 2019 MotoGP.
The fastest of the first free practice session was the Czech Jakub Kornfeil, who stopped the clock at a time of 1:36.967.
From second to fourth position we find three Italians, Tony Arbolino (Honda Snipers), Celestino Vietti (KTM Sky Racing Team VR46), who put the "wheels" on the Austrian circuit for the first time and Lorenzo Dalla Porta (Honda Leopard).
World championship leader Aron Canet (KTM Max Racing Team) is fifth, ahead of Raul Fernandez (KTM Angel Nieto), Deniz Oncu (KTM Red Bull Ajo) and our Dennis Foggia (Sky Racing Team VR46), struggling with a bad sore throat. Closing out the Top Ten are Can Oncu and Filip Salac.
Niccolò Antonelli (Honda SIC58 Squadra Corse) and Romano Fenati (Honda Snipers) occupy eleventh and twelfth position.
