Forward Racing Moto2 – The Engineering department of the University of Perugia was responsible for a test in the “Raffaele Balli” wind tunnel with the Forward Racing Moto2 riders Lorenzo Baldassarri and Luca Marini.

The test, which was coordinated by Prof. Francesco Castellani, was aimed at perfecting the motorbike position of the two centaurs of the VR46 Riders Academy in order to minimize "drag" and improve the maximum speed in a straight line.

The two riders were "hit" by an air flow that reached peaks of 160km/h. The word is up to them.

“It's the first time I've carried out a test of this type, usually when I get on a Moto2 I do it on the track but this time I was stationary! – said Lorenzo Baldassarri – Today we obtained some useful information to improve my position on the motorbike, especially on the straight. I can't wait to get to Austria to put what we have discovered into practice.”

Luca Marini, Valentino Rossi's brother, then spoke. “This day of testing in the tunnel was very interesting, now we will have to carefully study the data provided to us by the technicians from the University of Perugia but I am more than sure that by refining some details we will be able to perform even better, especially on tracks with long straights. We will soon be going to Austria who will give us feedback straight away even though it is a new track. See you there!"
