Moto2: Valencia Test Day 3: Pol Espargarò closes in command, Spanish dominance
First of the Italian drivers is Simone Corsi, ninth with the Speed Up
Pol Espargarò (Kalex) ended the final day of Moto2 testing in Valencia in the lead. The Team Pons rider in fact stopped the clock at a time of 1'34.577, making things clear as to who will be the rider to beat in 2013. The Spaniard put behind him a "reborn" Nico Terol, rider of Team Aspar trailed by just two tenths on their Suter.
The Spanish domination continues with Julian Simon, third with the Kalex of Team Italtrans and Jordi Torres, fourth with the second Suter of Team Aspar. Suter and Kalex lead the way with the Swiss Thomas Luthi fifth, with the Japanese Nakagami sixth, Scott Redding seventh and Esteve Rabat eighth. The first different bike is the Speed Up of our Simone Corsi, ninth at 788 thousandths. The Roman driver precedes the Frenchman of Team Ioda Johann Zarco.
Behind the former Team JiR rider we find the Swiss Dominique Aegerter, the Spaniard Axel Pons, the Finn Mika Kallio and the Iberian Toni Elias, riding the Kalex of Team Blusens Avintia. Further back are our Mattia Pasini and Alex de Angelis, teammates of Simone Corsi, in eighteenth and twentieth position respectively. The 3 Moto2012 champion Sandro Cortese follows them, twenty-first on the Kalex of Team Dynavolt Intact GP.
