Moto2: Takaaki Nakagami underwent surgery on his left collarbone
His return is scheduled for the next German Grand Prix
di Alessio Brunori1 July 2013
In Assen it was not only Jorge Lorenzo who suffered a broken left collarbone, but also Team Italtrans rider Takaaki Nakagami.
The Japanese rider fractured it on Saturday morning during the Warm Up of the Moto2 class. Rider #30 underwent surgery yesterday morning at the Poliambulance Clinic in Brescia. The operation was carried out by Professor Flavio Terragnoli, who applied a five-centimetre plate to the left collarbone, fixed with four screws.
If the post-operation and rehabilitation go as expected, Nakagami could already return to the Sachsenring, where the race will take place on Sunday 14 July.
