Moto2 Sepang, Free Practice 3: Zarco, record and crash
The Frenchman preceded Rins and Luthi, 11th and 12th time for Baldassarri and Morbidelli
Moto2 2015 Sepang Free Practice 3 – Johann Zarco was the fastest in the third and final free practice session of the Moto2 class at SIC, Sepang International Circuit.
The new world champion in the middle category of the world championship lapped in 2:06.881, a new record on the Malaysian track, which belonged to Pol Espargarò. The Frenchman also slipped without physical consequences at the end of the session.
Second time for Alex Rins, who finished 0.327s behind Zarco and 0.297s ahead of the Swiss Thomas Luthi, the fastest on day 1.
Luis Salom did well, finishing fourth after a rookie season with many difficulties, ahead of Jonas Folger, Sam Lowes, Takaaki Nakagami, Mika Kallio, Xavier Simeon and Sandro Cortese.
Eleventh and twelfth position for our Lorenzo Baldassarri (podium at Phillip Island) and Franco Morbidelli, while Simone Corsi finished in twentieth position.
