Moto2 Sepang, Free Practice 1: Folger ahead of Zarco and Luthi
The best of the Italian drivers is Simone Corsi, sixth with the Forward Racing Kalex
Moto2 2015 Sepang Free Practice 1 – German Jonas Folger set the best time in Free Practice 1 of the Moto2 class of the Malaysian Grand Prix, the penultimate stage of the 2015 world championship.
The centaur of the AGR Team achieved it with a time of 2:07.720, bringing his Kalex ahead of that of the new world champion Johann Zarco, just 48 thousandths of a second behind.
Third time for the Swiss Thomas Luthi and fourth for the Finnish Mika Kallio, riding the Speed Up of Team QMMF Racing, as well as the next test rider for the KTM MotoGP, with the Austrian manufacturer which will return to the premier class in 2017.
The Finn precedes Axel Pons, the Roman Simone Corsi, the Japanese Takaaki Nakagami, the Malaysian Azlan Shah and the Spaniards Alex Rins and Julian Simon.
Lorenzo Baldassarri, who achieved the first podium of his career in Australia, is eleventh, while Franco Morbidelli is thirteenth, immediately ahead of Alex Marquez; the latter two will be teammates next season riding the Kalex of the Marc VDS Racing Team.
