Simone Corsi, Forward Racing rider, kept the Italian colors high in the Moto2 class Argentine Grand Prix. The Roman (in the photo in front of Salom) fought for the podium almost until the end of the race, when he had to surrender to the attacks of first Luis Salom and then Dominique Aegerter. Alex de Angelis from San Marino also had a good race, bringing his Suter to sixth position. Another day to forget for Mattia Pasini, who broke the engine of his Forward KLX during the first lap.

“It was a really good race. In the warm up we managed to resolve the tire problems and in the race everything went well – said Simone Corsi – I started strong, I immediately recovered a few positions at the start, I remained third for most of the race, but in the end I lost something. Too bad about the podium, we were really close. We'll try again in Jerez, we can fight to stay with the leaders. Thanks to all the guys on the team, they did a fantastic job.”

“For a long time I had hoped to have a day among the leaders and I am very happy – added Alex de Angelis – We are satisfied with this weekend because we were able to make up for the nineteenth position on Friday by working well and hard. Now we know we have all the right qualities to continue the championship as best we can."

“I'm very sorry for how today went,” Mattia Pasini finally commented – “It's the third race in which I'm fast all weekend and then on Sunday something happens. I was unlucky, but next week we will be in Jerez, I hope to make up for it."
