Moto2: Nico Terol is the fastest on Day 1 of the Jerez tests

Nico Terol achieved the best time on the first day of testing in Jerez de la Frontera, which took place in difficult weather conditions due to rain. The Team Aspar driver brought his Suter ahead of everyone with a time of 1:53.831. Our Simone Corsi did very well, second with the Speed Up of Team NGM Mobile Racing. The Roman rider loses just 168 thousandths to the Spaniard and in turn precedes another home rider, Julian Simon, riding the Kalex of Team Italtrans by 469 thousandths.
Pol Espargarò, one of the forecast favourites, is fourth with a time of 1:54.493. The Team Pons driver brought his Kalex ahead of that of the British Scott Redding and the Suter of the new Ioda Racing driver Johann Zarco. Closing out the Top Ten are the Finn Mika Kallio and the Spaniards Ricky Cardus, Jordi Torres and Esteve Rabat.
Mattia Pasini with the second Speed Up of Team NGM Mobile Racing is fourteenth at 1.835 from the top, while the San Marino Alex de Angelis is only twentieth at 2.895. The riders who come from Moto3 respectively obtained the seventeenth time with Danny Kent, the twenty-second with Louis Rossi (both Team Tech 3 riders) and the twenty-fifth time with the 2012 world champion Sandro Cortese, who has not yet taken the measures at the Kalex of the Dynavolt Intact GP Team.
