Moto2 Misano QP: Baldassarri: “I hope to have fun”
Tomorrow the Forward Racing team will take to the track with a livery dedicated to Agostini
Moto2 QP GP San Marino – Excellent performance by the team driver Forward Racing, Lorenzo Baldassarri, which will start from the fourth spot tomorrow; eleventh time for Luca marini.
On the track where he won last year, Lorenzo surprised everyone with his fourth qualifying time which he hopes to be able to materialize with a good race:
“I am very happy with how qualifying went and satisfied with our performance. I'm even happier because this morning I struggled a bit to find a good rhythm. In any case, we covered many laps and found the right direction, which put us in a position to enjoy the results. In the afternoon, with new tires my feeling with the rear was much better. I took a risk at the beginning of the second run because the tire was not yet up to temperature, but then I started pushing to go faster and, on the last lap, I kept my head down trying to avoid mistakes and I must say that it helped me succeeded very well! I'm very satisfied and I hope to have fun in the race tomorrow."
After the good free practice session in the morning, Luca improved his time in the afternoon, despite his qualifying being affected by traffic on the track:
“I have to say that this afternoon was an excellent session. At the same time, I have to admit that I wasn't completely satisfied with the grid position, because I wanted to start from the second row. I'm honestly convinced that I would have been able to do it, also taking into account that most of the set-up work on the bike was dedicated to the race. However, I am very positive for tomorrow. Without a doubt I will have to make a good start and stay focused in the first laps to recover as many positions as possible. As always, we will do our best to bring home important points for the championship."
