Mika Kallio, after a complicated season to say the least aboard the Ducati MotoGP of Team Pramac, drops down a category and in 2011 will race in Moto2 with the Marc VDS Racing Team. The Finnish driver will team up with the British Scott Redding and both will use the Suter, given that the Team has extended its contract with the Swiss manufacturer.

Kallio and Redding will be on track already today in Valencia, for the first test planned for 2011. Here are the words of the Finn.

“I had a few options in Moto2 for next year, but I know that with Marc VDS I found the right team for me. Their results in the second half of the season clearly show that they are one of the top teams on the grid and with them I know I can achieve good results next year. I'm sure there are some people who think this is a step backwards for me, but I disagree. I think it's a great opportunity and I know that with this team I can be at the front again. The fact that we have a future project for MotoGP is a positive thing for me, I still have unfinished business there."
