The pole position of the Moto2 class French Grand Prix went to Jonas Folge, German rider of Team AGR. For him it was the first pole position in the Moto2 class, obtained with a time of 1:37.619.

In the front row with him the world championship leader Esteve Rabat (just a few thousandths behind) and Luis Salom (Kalex). The second row will be opened by Jerez winner Mika Kallio (Rabat's team-mate), who will have the Swiss Thomas Luthi (Suter) and our Simone Cori (Kalex of Forward Racing) alongside him.

Third row for Maverick Vinales, Ricky Cardus and Sandro Cortese. Thirteenth and fourteenth place for Alex de Angelis and Franco Morbidelli, while Mattia Pasini is sixteenth.
