Moto2 Le Mans, Free Practice 1: Rabat is the fastest, Alex de Angelis very good
The San Marino driver took the Suter of Team Tasca Racing to second place
Esteve Rabat (Kalex) set the best time in Free Practice 1 of the Moto2 class of the French Grand Prix. The world championship leader achieved it with a time of 1:38.446, a lap that allowed him to precede by 185 thousandths a revived Alex de Angelis, riding the Suter of Team Tasca Racing.
The San Marino driver therefore had an excellent session, placing himself behind the Swiss Thomas Luthi, the German Jonas Folger and Mattia Pasini, riding the Kalex of the Forward Racing Team, which has had official support from the Swiss manufacturer since this Grand Prix.
Simone Corsi (Pasini's team-mate) also did well, seventh and immediately behind the Swiss from Team Technomag carXpert, Dominique Aegerter. Closing out the Top Ten are Xavier Simeon with the Suter of Team Gresini and the Kalex of Julian Simon and Sandro Cortese. The other Italian drivers are Franco Morbidello 25th and Lorenzo Baldassarri 29th.
