Moto2 – Jerez Free practice 2 – Takahashi in the lead, Marquez 2nd in the final

The Moto2 class riders took to the track for today's second and final free practice session. On the Jerez de la Frontera track, the Japanese Yuki Takahashi leads the line-up of 38 participants with a time of 1′. The Gresini team rider engages in a long-distance duel with Julian Simon to take first place, but it is precisely at the end that Marc Marquez enters the "fight" and manages to snatch second position from his compatriot. Simon then follows with the third fastest time, while Luthi finishes fourth and Aleix Espargarò is fifth.

Positive day for Italians. In the final stages Andrea Iannone conquers the sixth fastest time, followed by Claudio Corti in sixth position. De Angelis from San Marino finished tenth despite a crash which did not allow him to improve his time. Simone Corsi is 11th, while Michele Pirro finishes 16th.

The star of the Qatar GP Stefan Bradl suffered a setback in Spain: the German finished the session in ninth position. Difficult day also for the Moto2 rookies: Max Neukirchner crashes right at the end of the session and is only 33rd. He slightly improves Kenan Sofuoglu, but still remains outside the top ten with the 14th time.
