Moto2 | Thailand GP FP1: Nagashima precedes Fernandez and Marini
The world championship leader, Marquez, only twelfth
Moto2 GP Thailand Free Practice 1 – Tetsuta Nagashima wins the first free practice session of the Moto2 class Thailand Grand Prix, fifteenth stage of the 2019 MotoGP championship.
The Japanese driver stopped the clock at 1:35.696 ahead of Augusto Fernandez (FlexBox HP40) and Luca Marini (Sky Racing Team VR46).
Dominique Aegerter was extraordinary as he brought the MV Agusta of the Forward team to fourth position ahead of an equally extraordinary Somkiat Chantra, home rider, who finished fifth ahead of Nicolò Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46).
Iker Lecuona finishes in seventh position ahead of Brad Binder on KTM and Remy Gardner. Jorge Martin (KTM Ajo) completes the top ten.
World championship leader Alex Marquez (Marc VdS) finished eleventh, ahead of Stefano Manzi (MV Agusta Forward), Mattia Pasini (Tasca), returning from injury, and Fabio Di Giannantonio (Speed Up). Enea Bastianini (ItalTrans) finished with the sixteenth time and in case of rain he risks having to go through the trap of Q1, as well as: his teammate, Andrea Locatelli, Lorenzo Baldassarri (FlexBox HP40) and Marco Bezzecchi (Tech3).
