Moto2 | Silverstone GP FP3: Schrotter is the fastest, Marini is fourth
First completely dry session for the intermediate category
Moto2 British GP Free Practice 3 – Marcel Schrotter achieved the best time in the third and final free practice session of the Moto2 class at Silverstone, scene of the British Grand Prix, twelfth stage of the 2018 Motorcycle World Championship.
The German Team Dynavolt rider took his Kalex ahead of everyone with a time of 2:08.182, a time that allowed him to beat the Spaniard Alex Marquez by 0.167s, who in turn preceded his Team Gresini compatriot Jorge Navarro .
Luca Marini, rider of the Sky Racing Team Vr46, achieved the fourth time ahead of Fabio Quartararo's Speed Up, with the latter who from next year will be riding the Yamaha MotoGP of the newly formed Team SIC together with our Franco Morbidelli.
The Top Ten is closed by the British Sam Lowes, the leader Francesco Bagnaia, the Spaniards Joan Mir and Iker Lecuona and the Swiss Dominique Aegerter.
Miguel Oliviera (KTM), who trails Bagnaia by three points in the standings, is twelfth, 0.839s from the top and ahead of Mattia Pasini, while rookie Romano Fenati (Marinelli Snipers) and Andrea Locatelli (Italtrans) achieved the fifteenth and sixteenth times respectively .
