Moto2 | Malaysian GP Practice 3: Aldeguer comes up empty, session interrupted by 2 red flags
Difficulty for Arbolino, only 17th
Moto2 GP Malaysia Sepang Tests 3 – Fermin Aldeguer achieved the best performance of the third practice session of the Malaysian Grand Prix, 18th stage of the Moto2 class, scheduled in Sepang.
Session interrupted twice by red flags. The first caused by the fall of Izan Guevara, with the reigning Moto3 world champion rider, the victim of a violent highs-side and taken to the medical centre, the second by the need to replace an air-fence broken in Darryn Binder's fall.
The Speed Up team driver stopped the time at 2:05.319, preceding Somkiat Chantra (Team Asia) and Jake Dixon (Aspar) by more than half a second.
Fourth time for world championship leader Pedro Acosta (KTM Ajo) ahead of Aron Canet (Pons) and Marcos Ramirez (OnlyFans American Racing). Seventh time for Celestino Vietti (Fantic) who finished ahead of Barry Baltus (Fleten) and Filip Salac (Gresini). Sam Lowes (Marc VdS) completes the top ten.
Difficulties for Tony Arbolinno (Marc VdS) who finished only 17th, while Dennis Foggia (Italtrans) was 19th. Mattia Casadei (Fantic) finishes 28th.
