Moto2 | Malaysian GP FP1: Nagashima mocks Binder and Marquez
Crash and sixth time for Luca Marini, Bezzecchi and Pasini also did well in the top ten
Moto2 GP Malaysia Sepang Free Practice 1 – Tetsuta Nagashima wins the first free practice session of the Moto2 class Malaysian Grand Prix, penultimate stage of the 2019 MotoGP World Championship.
The SG team rider stopped the clock at 2:06.300, ahead of Brad Binder by 0.110s and world leader Alex Marquez (Marc VDS) by 0.490s, leading the standings for most of the session.
Tom Luthi finishes fourth, ahead of Jorge Navarro (Seed Up) and Luca Marini (Sky Racing Team VR46), who crashed at the start of the session. Seventh time for Marcel Schrotter who finished ahead of Xavi Vierge (Marc VDS) and an excellent Marco Bezzecchi (Tech3). Mattia Pasini (Tasca Racing) completes the top ten.
Stefano Manzi did well, bringing the MV Agusta of the Forward team to twelfth position. Nicolò Buluga (Sky Racing Team VR46) was further behind and finished 15th, preceding Lorenzo Baldassarri (FlexBox HP40), 17th, and Andrea Locatelli (ItalTrans), 18th. Fabio Di Giannantonio (Speed Up) and Enea Bastianini (ItalTrans) finished in 21st and 22nd position respectively.
