Moto2 | German GP FP1: first half for Fernandez
Second Lopez ahead of Canet, Vietti only 21st
Moto2 German GP Free Practice 1 – Augusto Fernandez was the fastest at the end of the first free practice session of the German Grand Prix, the tenth round of the 2022 Motorcycle World Championship.
The Red Bull KTM Ajo team rider recorded his best lap in 1:24.222, ahead of Alonso Lopez (MB Conveyors Speed Up) and Aron Canet's Kalex (Flexbox HP40).
Fourth Filip Salac (Gresini Racing) ahead of Albert Arenas (GASGAS).
Sixth position for the Kalex of Cameron Beaubier (American Racing), followed by Sam Lowes (Marc VDS).
Rookie Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) was eighth with Jake Dixon (GASGAS) and Fermin Aldeguer (MB Conveyors Speed Up) closing the TOP 10 times.
Only 21st Celestino Vietti (Mooney VR46 Racing). Of note is the bad fall of Barry Baltus, who was transported to the medical center (pilot conscious).
The other Italians: 18th Simone Corsi, 19th Lorenzo Dalla Porta, 24th Niccolò Antonelli, 25th Alessandro Zaccone and Tony Arbolino without time due to the fall at the start of the session, without consequences.
