Moto2 Barcelona, Qualifying: Second pole of the season for Alex Marquez

GP Catalunya Moto2 Qualifying – Alex Marquez wins the pole of the Catalan Grand Prix on the Montmelò circuit, seventh stage of the 2017 MotoGP. Second pole in his career and of the season, after the one in Jerez.
The Spaniard from the Marc VdS team stopped the clock at 1:49.408, edging out 1 tenth from the winner of Mugello, Mattia Pasini (ItalTrans). Lorenzo Baldassarri (Froward) completes the front row, more than 6 tenths from pole.
Takaaki Nakagami opens the second row, followed by Thomas Luthi and the world championship leader, Franco Morbidelli.
The Marc VdS team rider precedes Miguel Oliveira (KTM Ajo), and Jorge Navarro (Gresini).
Alex Pons and Isaac Vinales complete the top ten.
Simone Corsi (SpeedUp) is out of the 10th and finishes in 13th place.
Twentieth fastest time for Francesco Bagnaia, while his Sky Racing Team teammate, Stefano Manzi, finished 25th.
