Moto2 Barcelona, Free Practice 2: Cortese is the fastest, Corsi is eighth
The German rider preceded the world leader Johann Zarco and Alex Rins
Moto2 2015 GP Catalunya – Sandro Cortese achieved the best time in the second free practice session of the Moto2 class Catalan Grand Prix.
The German rider, former 2012 Moto3 world champion, stopped the clock at a time of 1:47.127, just 17 thousandths ahead of world leader Johann Zarco.
Third time for the Spaniard Alex Rins, fourth for the British Sam Lowes (who fell like this morning without physical consequences) and fifth for the Swiss Thomas Luthi.
The reigning champion Esteve Rabat is sixth and ahead of his compatriot Luis Salom and the best of the Italian drivers, the Roman Simone Corsi.
Franco Morbidelli set the twelfth time, ahead of the Spaniards Julian Simon and Alex Marquez, while Lorenzo Baldassarri was sixteenth.
It should be noted that the first eighteen drivers are closed in less than a second; Axel Pons is in fact 0.890s away from the summit.
