Moto2 and Moto3 Dunlup tyres – The historic collaboration between the MotoGP and Dunlup will continue for at least the next three years.

The tire manufacturing company which has linked its name to two-wheeled competitions for years now, after the introduction of the Moto2 and Moto3 classes in 2010 and 2012, has become the sole supplier and will continue to be so at least until the end of 2020.

Dunlup will also continue the #ForeverForward award, awarded to the driver who, in both categories, has made the most overtakings during the season. The latest winner was our Andrea Migno, who overtook 137 drivers during the 18 races of 2017.

Xavier Fraipont, Managing Director of Dunlop Motorcycle Motorsport and EMEA: “We are proud to continue our long and successful relationship with Dorna in Moto2 and Moto3. We push forward and bring new technologies. We introduced a brand new specification tire to Moto2 in Valencia for the final round of the 2017 season and this compound was chosen by race winner, Miguel Oliveira. Competing at the highest level of motorcycling allows us to test and develop new constructions and compounds. We then applied the developments to our Dunlop SportSmart MAX tires and the new SportSmart TT.”

Pau Serracanta, Managing Director of Dorna Sports, Commercial Area: “It is an honor for us to have Dunlop as our long-time collaborators within the world championship. Tires are one of the cornerstones of competition, and Dunlop is the ideal collaborator for Moto2 and Moto3, both categories continue to provide great battles and spectacle. Three more seasons racing together is a cause for celebration for everyone involved.”
