Moto2 GP Thailand Race – Fermin Aldeguer, after the pole position, also won the race of the Moto2 class Thai Grand Prix, the 17th stage of the 2023 MotoGP championship held in Buriram.

The SpeedUp driver started well from first place, leading the race for its entire duration, crossing the finish line with a wide margin over his closest pursuer, Pedro Acosta, with the Team Red Bull Ajo driver increasingly leading the world championship standings ( had the first match point for the title here, but it was postponed ed.).

Third step of the podium for the home idol Somkiat Chantra. The Team Asia driver took the checkered flag with a margin over the fourth place finisher, our Tony Arbolino (Marc VDS).

The rider from Garbagnate Milanese (winner at Phillip Island) after a good start lost ground in the first laps, risking his chances of a podium.

Fifth at the finish line was Ai Ogura (Team Asia), author of a good comeback, followed by Marcos Ramirez (OnlyFans American Racing), Albert Arenas (Red Bull Ajo) and Alonso Lopez (SpeedUp).

Closing out the Top Ten are Izan Guevara (Aspar) and Manuel Gonzalez (VR46 Team). Also in points are Aron Canet (Pons), penalized with two long-lap penalties due to an early start, Dennis Foggia (Italtrans), Jeremy Alcoba (Gresini), Sam Lowes (Marc VDS) and Darryn Binder (Intact GP).

Mattia Casadei (Fantic Racing) finished 21st, while his team-mate Celestino Vietti and Alberto Surra (Forward) crashed.

With second place Acosta takes himself to 300.5 points, 63 ahead of Arbolino and 128.5 over Jake Dixon (Aspar), who crashed today without consequences after colliding with Vietti (who fell later, when he was passed by Arbolino, ed.).
