Moto2 | Thailand GP Qualifying: Aldeguer on pole ahead of Acosta, Arbolino is eighth
Second consecutive pole position for the SpeedUp driver
Moto2 GP Thailand Qualifying – Fermin Aldeguer won the pole position of the Thai Grand Prix, 17th stage of the Moto2 class, scheduled in Buriram.
The SpeedUp driver, despite a steering lock on the fastest lap, managed to set the best lap of 1:35.271, a time that allowed him to beat the leader of the world championship Pedro Acosta (Red Bull Ajo) and his team-mate of the latter, Albert Arenas, trailing by 0.177s and 0.319s. For Aldeguer it is the second consecutive pole, third in his career.
Second row of the grid for Aron Canet (Pons), home idol Somkiat Chantra (Team Asia) and Marcos Ramirez (OnlyFans American Racing).
Seventh time for Alonso Lopez (SpeedUp) who will share the third row with our Tony Arbolino (Marc VDS) and Jake Dixon (Aspar).
Fourth row for Joe Roberts (Italtrans), Sergio Garcia (Pons) and Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing). Dennis Foggia (Italtrans) finished 16th, while Alberto Surra (Forward) and Mattia Casadei (Fantic Racing) did not pass Q1 and will start from 27th and 28th place.
