Moto2 | GP Qatar Test 2: Aldeguer sets a record, Arbolino is tenth
The #54 SpeedUp preceded Canet and Lowes
Moto2 GP Qatar Tests 2 – Fermin Aldeguer, after obtaining the best time in the first practice session of the Qatar Grand Prix, the 19th stage of the Moto2 class, scheduled for Lusail, also repeated it in the afternoon session.
The #54 who took his Boscoscuro to the top with a time of 1:58.059 (new record of the Qatari track, ed.), is followed by Aron Canet (Pons) and Sam Lowes (Marc VDS), respectively 0.104s and 0.254s behind s.
Somkiat Chantra (Team Asia) is fourth, ahead of Jake Dixon (Aspar), Manuel Gonzalez (VR46 Team), team-mate Ai Ogura and new champion Pedro Acosta (Red Bull Ajo). Closing out the Top Ten are Alonso Lopez (SpeedUp) and the best of the Italian riders, Tony Arbolino (Marc VDS).
Also in provisional Q2 are Joe Roberts (Italtrans), Marcos Ramirez (OnlyFans American Racing) and our own Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing) and Dennis Foggia (Italtrans). Further back Mattia Casadei, 28th with the Fantic Racing Kalex.
