Moto2 GP Malaysia Sepang Race – Fermin Aldeguer, after obtaining the pole position of the Malaysian Grand Prix, 18th stage of the Moto2 class, won the Moto2 class race held in Sepang.

For the SpeedUp rider it is the third victory in the Moto2 class, but the protagonist of the day was without a doubt Peter Acosta (in the photo, coming second at the finish line, ed.), graduated World Champion.

Second title in three years (in 2021 he won the Moto3 title, ed.) for the Team Red Bull Ajo rider, who will be in MotoGP next year riding the KTM of Team GASGAS. We also remember that in 2020 the rider from Mazarrón, born in 2004, had won the Rookies Cup. For Acosta also the record of youngest winner of the Moto2 World Championship.

Acosta wins the title in Malaysia, something that has happened in the past to Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo, Esteve Rabat, Johann Zarco, Franco Morbidelli, Pecco Bagnaia, Marco Simoncelli and Dani Pedrosa, among others.

The race for the #37 immediately went downhill, when Tony Arbolino, after an excellent start, lost many positions immediately after the start to avoid Manuel Gonzalez, who fell after a contact with Aldeguer at the first corner. Subsequently Arbolino fell, falling to 24th position, before getting back on the bike and recovering up to tenth position.

Marcos Ramirez (OnlyFans American Racing) took third place on the podium, ahead of Ai Ogura (Team Asia), Jake Dixon (Aspar) and Somkiat Chantra (Team Asia). Also in the Top Ten are Sam Lowes, Joe Roberts, Albert Arenas and Tony Arbolino.

Dennis Foggia (Italtrans) finished 15th in the points, Mattia Casadei (Fantic Racing) 21st, an unlucky race for Celestino Vietti (Fantic Racing), who retired after a fall during the second lap.
