Moto2 | GP Valencia Test 1: Acosta is the fastest, Vietti is second
Fifth time for Arbolino, Foggia is tenth
Moto2 GP Valencia Tests 1 – Pedro Acosta achieved the best time in the first test session of the Grand Prix of the Valencian Community, 20th stage of the Moto2 class, scheduled in Valencia.
The 2023 World Champion of the middle category set the fastest lap with a time of 1:34.024, putting our Celestino Vietti, Fantic Racing rider, behind him by just 0.111s.
Third and fourth times for Fermin Aldeguer (SpeedUp) and Aron Canet (Pons), who precede our Tony Arbolino (Marc VDS) and the latter's team-mate Sam Lowes.
Closing out the Top Ten are Marcos Ramirez (OnlyFans American Racing), Ai Ogura (Team Asia), Jake Dixon (Aspar) and our own Dennis Foggia (Italtrans).
Albert Arenas (Red Bull Ajo), Izan Guevara (Aspar), Somkiat Chantra (Team Asia) and Barry Baltus (Racing GP) also qualified for provisional Q2.
Matteo Ferrari on track with the Kalex of Team Gresini finished 26th, while Mattia Casadei (Fantic Racing) was 28th.
