Moto2 | GP Barcelona FP2: Raul Fernandez in the lead, Bezzecchi is sixth
The Spanish driver preceded team-mate Remy Gardner and Sam Lowes
Moto2 GP Catalunya Barcelona Free Practice 2 – Raul Fernandez achieved the best time in the second free practice session of the Catalan Grand Prix, the seventh round of the 2021 MotoGP world championship.
The Red Bull Ajo team driver set the best lap with a time of 1:43.687, a time that allowed him to beat his teammate Remy Gardner, who was 0.215s behind.
Third time for Sam Lowes, with the British driver ahead of his teammate Augusto Fernandez, the fastest of FP1.
Xavi Vierge (Petronas) is fifth and precedes our Marco Bezzecchi (Sky Racing Team VR46), Ai Ogura (Team Asia) and Aron Canet (Boscoscuro Aspar).
Closing out the Top Ten are our Fabio Di Giannantonio (Gresini) and the German Marcel Schrotter (Intact GP). Marcos Ramirez (American Racing), Jake Dixon (Petronas), Hector Garzo (Pons) and Bo Bendsneyder also qualified for provisional Q2, the latter two with the time recorded in the morning.
The other Italians are: Simone Corsi (MV Agusta Forward) 17th, Lorenzo Baldassarri (MV Agusta Forward) 20th, Nicolò Bulega (Gresini) 22nd, Celestino Vietti (Sky Racing Team VR46 rookie) 23rd, Tony Arbolino (Intact GP rookie) 24th and Stefano Manzi (Pons) 30th.
