Moto2 GP Thailand Race – Luca Marini won the Moto2 class Thailand Grand Prix, the fifteenth round of the 2019 MotoGP. For the #10, the second career success.

The Sky Racing Team VR46 driver took the lead of the race in the first laps and never relinquished it until the checkered flag.

Marini immediately took a big lead and behind it there was a great battle between Alex Marquez, Iker Lecuona, Augusto Fernandez and Jorge Martin, with the 2018 world champion in the Moto3 class slightly behind.

A real domination for Valentino Rossi's brother, who took the checkered flag ahead of Brad Binder and Iker Lecuona.

Augusto Fernandez (Team Pons) was fourth on arrival, ahead of world championship leader Alex Marquez, Jorge Martin and rookie Nicolò Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46).

Home rider Somkiat Chantra finished ninth, ahead of rookies Marco Bezzecchi (Team Tech 3) and Enea Bastianini (Team Italtrans). Bastianini's team-mate, Andrea Locatelli, also scored points, thirteenth at the finish line.

Stefano Manzi (MV Agusta Forward Racing) and Lorenzo Baldassarri (Team Pons) crashed in the early stages of the race but in different circumstances, both without consequences.

In the world championship standings, Marquez moves up to +40 on Augusto Fernandez, +44 on Brad Binder, +46 on Thomas Luthi and +49 on Jorge Navarro. Marini is sixth with a gap of 73 points.
