Moto2 GP Japan Motegi Free Practice 2 – The second free practice session of the Moto2 class in Motegi saw Alex Marquez (Team Marc VDS) excel.
The leader of the world championship standings set the best lap with a time of 1:50.647 and preceded the South African Brad Binder (KTM), the fastest in FP0.181, by 1s.
Excellent third time for the rookie and 3 Moto2018 world champion Jorge Martin (Binder's team-mate, ed.), followed by our Luca Marini (Sky Racing Team VR46), by Sam Lowes (Team Gresini) and by another rookie, Nicolò Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46).
Excellent seventh time despite a crash for Stefano Manzi (MV Agusta Forward Racing), behind him Thomas Luthi (Dynavolt Intact GP), Lorenzo Baldassarri (Team Pons) and Marcel Schrotter (Dynavolt Intact GP), who closes the Top Ten.
Also in provisional Q2 were Augusto Fernandez, Iker Lecuona, Enea Bastianini and Tetsuga Nagashima.
Among others, the Speed Ups of Fabio Di Giannantonio and Jorge Navarro, Mattia Pasini (Tasca Racing) and Remy Gardner (SAG Team) are out.
