Moto2 | Thailand GP FP2: Marini is the fastest, Bastianini is fifth
Four Italians in the virtual Q2 of Moto2 at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram
Moto2 GP Thailand Free Practice 2 – Luca Marini set the best time in the second free practice session of the Moto2 class Thai Grand Prix, fifteenth race of the 2019 MotoGP world championship.
The Sky Racing Team rider stopped the clock at a time of 1:35.956, just 8 thousandths ahead of the home rider Somkiat Chantra, Idemitsu Honda Team Asia.
Third time for the Australian Remy Gardner (SAG Team), followed by world championship leader Alex Marquez (Team Marc VDS) and our Enea Bastianini, rookie of Team Italtrans.
Iker Lecuona is sixth and is ahead of Brad Binder's KTM, Augusto Fernandez (Team Pons), Jorge Navarro (Speed Up) and Tetsuta Nagashima (SAG Team).
Also in the top 14 and in virtual Q2 were Andrea Locatelli (Team Italtrans), Jorge Martin (KTM Red Bull Ajo), Marco Bezzecchi (KTM Tech 3) and Thomas Luhti (Dynavolt Intact GP).
Fifteenth, sixteenth and seventeenth times for Stefano Manzi (MV Agusta Forward), Nicolò Bulega (Sky Racing Team VR46) and Lorenzo Baldassarri (Team Pons). Mattia Pasini, returning after his injury, is twentieth, while Speed Up rookie Fabio Di Giannantonio is twenty-sixth.
