Voxan Wattman Max Biaggi – Max Biaggi (who recently turned 50, ed.) after having set 11 speed records in November 2020 riding the electric Voxan Wattman, will attempt a new record with a lightened version, under 300 kg. At Châteauroux airport in France with a 270 kW engine, last November it reached a maximum speed of 408 km/h.

Initially the attempt was planned in the largest salt flat on the planet, precisely in Salar de Uyuni in Bolivia, but given the travel made difficult by the Covid-19 pandemic, the nearby airport was chosen.

The records were divided into three different distances: quarter mile, mile and 1 km and were set with both rolling and standing starts. The bikes all had the same power, 367 hp (270 kW).

Now with a lightened version, under 300 kg, thanks to a new battery supplied by the French Saft, it will attempt a new record.

Statements Max Biaggi speed record Voxan Wattman

“The work we have done in just a few months is incredible. Last November, we wondered if we would be able to reach 400 km/h, but now that speed is just the starting point for our work! We learn and improve. With our motivation, team spirit and hunger to surpass ourselves, I have no doubt that we will be successful with our project.”

Statements Gildo Pastore, President of the Venturi Group, speed record Voxan Wattman Max Biaggi

“Attempting to set new speed records just a year after posting the first one is exhilarating! I am fortunate to be able to count on an inspired and inspirational team that has made the voxan Wattman the fastest electric motorcycle in the world. Eleven records (confirmed by the FIM) are fantastic but… it's not enough! I want to continue developing electric mobility.”
