Two-time MotoGP world champion Marc Marquez won the Superprestigio Dirt Track in Barcelona. The Spanish driver beat Jared Mees and Kenny Noyes.

What made his task easier was the injury of Brad Baker, who was forced to surrender after a bad fall in qualifying on Saturday afternoon.

Marquez, Jared Mees (dominator of the Open category) and Kenny Noyes then reached the final. In the final (in which Marquez arrived after having won three of the four finals of his 'Superprestigio' class) a fall by Supermoto world champion Thomas Chareyre caused both Marquez and Mees to lose a lot of ground, who almost ended up on the ground to avoid it .

Kenny Noyes took advantage of this, but Marquez, despite the time lost, didn't give up and recovered within three laps to take the lead. Shortly after, Jared Mees also passed Noyes, chasing Marquez, a hunt which, however, did not yield the desired results.

The victory therefore went to Marquez, who won his first race on dirt. Last year he was beaten by Brad Baker.

“It was a very intense afternoon and I was nervous because I wanted to give my best – Marc Marquez told Movistar TV – I had fun in a specialty that I really like. It was a shame not to win last year, but I did it in this edition. In this sport, the fastest, but also the smartest, wins. This time it was me and I learned to close the doors. I really liked it.”

This victory comes after the controversy that arose in recent days, when Marquez had first decided to move his residence to Andorra to avoid paying taxes in Spain, only to then reverse course when a petition was even opened to ensure that the Spanish driver was boycotted by his sponsors for this reason. In the end the Honda champion decided to continue paying taxes in Spain.

..my cousin who was there in the middle says that from the noise it had at least 50 hp more and then the bike was a super official Honda flanged one, not like that of the others..
Then he greeted him while Marc drifted into the entrance and didn't say hello... Look at you if you can!

Jokes aside, it was scary! Mythical Marc...with such a ruined track, entrances like that are truly incredible!
He totally deserved it and I enjoyed all the races.

But laugh a little at the jokes instead of thumbing your nose
