Davide Giugliano, who was injured during the tests at Phillip Island, underwent a visit to the Modena Polyclinic in recent days which unfortunately confirmed the prognosis of the Australian medical center: fracture of the L1 and L2 lumbar vertebrae and of the twelfth dorsal vertebra.

An injury in itself not serious but which will force the Roman driver to stay away from the track for 90 days, therefore missing the next three rounds: March 22nd in Thailand, April 12th in Aragon, Spain and April 19th in Holland in Assen.
His return is scheduled for the Imola stage on May 10th.
In the meantime, Aruba.it Racing Ducati must find a replacement: in recent days the names of Michele Pirro, former Ducati test rider, but involved in the development of the new Desmosedici GP15, and the Spaniard Javier Fores, reigning SBK champion, have been mentioned German, who had replaced Carlos Checa on the Panigale in the last round of the 2013 season.
However, there is a good chance that it will still be Troy Bayliss, after his return to Australia, who will get back on the Panigale again while waiting for Giugliano to be ready to get back on the bike.
The 45-year-old, despite finishing Race 1 and Race 2 in 13th and 16th position respectively, set good times and could do well in Thailand, where no SBK rider has ever lapped.
It would certainly be a very welcome solution for the fans, who enthusiastically greeted the "debut" of the three-time World Champion at Phillip Island.
We are waiting for official communications from the Team.

Must continue with TB21! I have to admit, I expected a lot more from the return, but in my opinion he had little time to find a decent set-up, I saw him make wide trajectories which were a symptom of a less than impeccable setting. Taking a driver who is even good but who for three races will never, ever be able to come close to the return of image that TB21 will be able to give makes no sense, having the possibility of continuing with him. I follow SBK, but Troy even more and like me thousands of other people in the world, for Aruba.it there is no doubt which is the choice to make if you want to increase your visibility, with all due respect to Chaz and Davide, if TB21 returns to racing at 80% of what it once was, it will be with the leaders and then you want to imagine how the news will resonate outside the world of two wheels.
