CIV Vallelunga Race 1 – Superbike started the season the same way it ended 2015: Michele Pirro dominator.
Today in Vallelunga, under the downpour, the Ducati rider immediately made his value clear, starting from fourth position and winning by a distance.
Already at the first corner he was 2nd and at the end of the first lap 1st; from then on his advantage increased more and more, leaving the riders behind him to battle for the other podium positions.
Kevin Kalia on Aprilia e Fabio Massei on Yamaha they finished 2nd and 3rd respectively.

After the expert Superbike riders - some with significant world experience - it was the turn of the very young PreMoto3 riders (riders aged 12 to 14) who race - with separate classifications - on 250 4T and 125 2T prototypes.
To establish itself in this first category was Leonardo Taccini on Speed Up (immortalized in the photo next to its equal brand Simone Courses who races in the Moto2 World Championship) on Riccardo rossi e Davide Baldini, both on RMU.

However, the race was interrupted due to Taccini's bad fall with 3 laps to go, who was then declared the winner following the red flag and failure to restart the race.
Different situation between the 125 2Qs in which Gabriel Giannini on Honda, starting from pole position, he led from start to finish.
On the podium too Raffaele Fusco 2nd (Rmu) ed Alex Scorpaniti 3rd (Honda).
Both rankings were heavily influenced by the amount of water present on the track which made this experience truly complex for many very young rookies.

“I got off to a very good start – he explained Gabriel Giannini, winner of the PreMoto3 125 2T – and I immediately took the lead in the overall classification. Then the 4-strokes got the better of me, and at the end of the first lap Taccini and Rossi overtook me. However, I was first in my category and I tried to push but without exceeding the limit. With five laps to go I crashed at the hairpin which made me slow down again. With three laps to go I saw Leonardo fall and shortly after the red flag came. Tomorrow, in race 2, I will try to repeat myself even if I hope for a dry race."
